About the Owners

The owners Nevil and Joan Bracken celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary in October 2007 and have a long association with the Central Coast where they owned a holiday home prior to moving here on a permanent basis in 2002 to begin construction of Terrigal Hinterland.

With Nevil as a civil engineer and Joan as an educator they worked extensively overseas in such places as the UK, Cyprus, Africa and the Middle east. Nevil and Joan also undertook voluntary work in Western Samoa,Sumatra and in the Aboriginal community of Kowanyama under the auspices of the Fred Hollows Foundation in far North Queensland. During their travels they enjoyed staying in numerous Bed and Breakfast establishments in many parts of the world.

After spending more than a year serching for the perfect block of land, they purchased 1 1/4 acres of rural land in Wamberal in 2002. However after such an active life, they could not imagine keeping this beautiful hideaway to themselves. They therefore decided to develop a 5 star Bed and Breakfast establishment to enable others to enjoy the area, and for themselves to play the perfect hosts. Since opening in December 2005, Nevil and Joan have been delighted to host National and International couples from varied walks of life and look forward to meeting many more. They just love meeting people.
